Beachport, South Australia

Beachport is a small coastal town 379 kilometres south-east of Adelaide, South Australia, located in the Wattle Range Council. Known for its 772 metre long jetty (the second longest in SA), Beachport is located on the northern end of Rivoli Bay. It has a large crayfish fishing fleet. The locality of Thornlea is wholly contained within Beachport.

Geltwood

The Geltwood was an iron hulled barque that was shipwrecked on or about 14 June 1876 during a storm on a remote stretch of the south east coast of South Australia. Nearing the completion of her maiden voyage from Liverpool bound for Melbourne the ship struck a reef, capsized and broke up.
