5SEF, branded on-air as 96.1 Star FM, is an Australian radio station owned by Southern Cross Media. The station is based in Mount Gambier South Australia. Like most of the Star FM network, the only local program that is broadcast from Mount Gambier is the Breakfast Program. All other programming is networked from Albury in New South Wales or the Gold Coast in Queensland. 5SEF started broadcasting in 1998 and is a sister station to 5SE.

Tantanoola, South Australia

Tantanoola (postcode 5280) is a town in South Australia. The name is derived from the aboriginal word tentunola, which means boxwood / brushwood hill or camp. Tantanoola was originally named 'Lucieton' by Governor Jervois after his daughter Lucy Caroline, on 10 July 1879. It was changed by Governor Robinson to 'Tantanoola' on 4 October 1888. At the 2006 census, Tantanoola had a population of 255.

MGS/LRS

MGS and LRS are television stations in South Australia. Both are relays of ADS-10 in Adelaide The station(s) are named and branded as 'Ten SA'. (Ten SA is also known as WIN Ten. ) Prior to 2004, SES/RTS was the only commercial television station broadcasting in Mount Gambier and the south east of South Australia. The station broadcast a mixture of programs derived from the Seven Network, Nine Network and Network Ten.

Tarpeena, South Australia

Tarpeena is a town on the Riddoch Highway between Penola and Mount Gambier in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. At the 2006 census, Tarpeena had a population of 406. The town was named by Governor MacDonnell, after the aboriginal words tart pena which means red gum tree. The town was surveyed in October 1860.
