Cairn Curran Reservoir

Cairn Curran reservoir is situated along the Loddon River near the townships of Baringhup, Newstead and Welshmans Reef in Victoria, Australia. Primarily an irrigation reservoir it was also home to an active yacht club and was a popular freshwater fishing and water skiing destination. Due to over fishing the lake is closed. Cairn Curran reservoir is one of a chain of reservoirs along the Loddon River which also includes the Newlyn, Hepburns, Tullaroop, and Laanecoorie Reservoirs.

Maldon, Victoria

Maldon is a town in Victoria, Australia, in the Shire of Mount Alexander local government area. It has been designated "Australia's first notable town" and is notable for its 19th-century appearance, maintained since gold-rush days. At the 2006 census, Maldon had a population of 1,601.

Moolort railway station

Moolort station was opened on 7 July 1874. There is no longer a station platform at Moolort, however there are still sidings provided to grain silos and to ballast piles. On 17 December 2004, the line from Moolort to Maldon junction was closed, due to the line being reserved for the Victorian Goldfields Railway to operate between Maldon and Castlemaine. Ballast trains operate from Maryborough to Moolort.
