Morundah

Morundah is a small town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. The town is located on the Newell Highway and in the Urana Shire local government area. The town consists of a hotel, some silos and a few houses. At the 2006 census, Morundah had a population of 76. Colombo Creek Post Office opened on 1 May 1877, was renamed Murundah in 1889 and Morundah in 1895. It closed in 1982. Morundah was served by the now closed Tocumwal railway line.

Narrandera is a town in southern New South Wales, Australia. It is an important destination for travellers as it lies on the junction of the Newell and Sturt Highways and it is the gateway to the productive Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area. At the 2011 census, Narrandera had a population of 3,871 people.

Narrandera Shire

Narrandera Shire is a local government area in the Riverina region of south-western New South Wales, Australia. The Shire is located adjacent to the Sturt and Newell Highways. The present Narrandera Shire was formed on 1 January 1960 by an amalgamation of the previous Narrandera Municipality and part of the Yanko Shire. The first Narrandera Municipality was incorporated on 18 March 1885.

Birrego, New South Wales

Birrego is a rural locality in the central part of the Riverina near Boree Creek. The countryside is flat and used predominantly for grain production. It is situated by road, about 13 kilometres south from Sandigo and 31 kilometres south east from Morundah. Birrego Post Office opened on 27 September 1921 and closed in 1959.
