Shire of Campaspe

The Shire of Campaspe is a local government area in Victoria, Australia in the north of the state. It includes the towns of Girgarre, Echuca, Kyabram, Rochester, Tongala and Rushworth. It has an area of 4,517 square kilometres. In 2006 it had a population of 36,209. It was formed in 1994 from the merger of the City of Echuca, Shire of Deakin, Shire of Rochester, Shire of Waranga, Town of Kyabram and part of the Shire of Rodney.

The Shire of Rochester was a local government area of Victoria, Australia, about 190 kilometres north of Melbourne, the state capital, and immediately west and southwest of the town of Echuca. The shire covered an area of 1,934.25 square kilometres, and existed from 1864 until 1994.
