Everton railway station

Everton is a closed station of the closed Bright line. Everton was the former junction station for the Yackandandah line. Only the platform remains at this station where a new shelter and toilets have been built as part of a rail trail project. A plaque and commemorative buffer stop have also been erected on the platform.

Everton, Victoria

Everton is a small town located 20 kilometres from Wangaratta in northeast Victoria, along the Great Alpine Road. At the 2006 census, Everton and the surrounding area had a population of 274. Attractions of the town and area include the Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail (a sealed off-road bicycle path offering 95 kilometres of cycling along former railway tracks), wineries, and the Victorian High Country. Everton Post Office opened in 1876 and closed in 1965.

Whorouly

Whorouly is a town in north east Victoria, Australia. The town is located in the valley of the Ovens River and in the Rural City of Wangaratta local government area, 275 kilometres north east of the state capital, Melbourne and 35 kilometres south east of the regional centre of Wangaratta. At the 2006 census, Whorouly and the surrounding area had a population of 785. The town was surveyed and proclaimed in 1868, adopting the name of a nearby station. Whorouly Primary School opened in 1874.
