Kalkee

Kalkee is a locality in the Wimmera region of Victoria, Australia. Kalkee is located on the Blue Ribbon Road, 319 kilometres north west of the state capital, Melbourne and 17 kilometres north of the regional centre of Horsham. The area consists of flat cropping and grazing farmland. Kalkee has a successful Australian Rules Football team and a Netball team. Cricket and tennis are also played at the Kalkee Recreation Reserve.

Shire of Wimmera

The Shire of Wimmera was a local government area in the Wimmera region of western Victoria, Australia. The shire covered an area of 2,611 square kilometres, and existed from 1862 until 1995. Although its shire offices were located in Horsham, Horsham was governed by a separate city council.

Dooen, Victoria

Dooen is a small town situated in the Wimmera region, Western Victoria, Australia. The Henty Highway between Mildura and Portland passes through the tiny town. At the 2006 census, Dooen and the surrounding area had a population of 544. Dooen Post Office opened on 1 September 1877 and closed in 1982. The Old Dooen pub is one of the few remaining occupied buildings and is popular amongst the agricultural students of Longerenong College.

Dimboola Memorial Secondary College

Dimboola Memorial Secondary College is a Public, co-educational secondary school day school located in Dimboola, Victoria, Australia. It is a small country secondary college with about 180 students and was originally erected as a memorial to those who fought in the First World War. It is located on a hill overlooking Dimboola and the Little Desert. The school's motto is "Facta Non Verba", meaning 'by deeds and not words'.
