Harrisons Cut gold diversion
Harrisons Cut gold diversion sluice is located on the Dargo River approximately 15 km north of Dargo, Victoria, Australia. The 50 m cutting diverts a length of the river and allowed the exposed river bed to be sluiced for alluvial gold. No record has been found of Harrison's Cut or any undertaking of its kind. Its position suggests a construction date in the 1880s. The cutting is one of around thirteen river diversions surviving from the Victorian gold rush.

Dargo, Victoria
Dargo is a town in Victoria, Australia, located 348 kilometres east of Melbourne, in the Shire of Wellington. At the 2006 census, Dargo and the surrounding area had a population of 144. The town provided a stopover for Victorian Gold Rush miners on their way to the goldfields of Grant, Talbotville, and Crooked River. The Post Office opened on 18 March 1868. Today the town is a producer of timber, and stockmen reside in the nearby Dargo High Plains.
