Granya

Granya is a town in north eastern Victoria, Australia. The town is located on the Murray arm of Lake Hume in the Towong Shire local government area, 378 kilometres north west of the state capital, Melbourne. At the 2006 census, Granya and the surrounding area had a population of 150. The town was established in the 1860s following a gold rush.

Shire of Tallangatta

The Shire of Tallangatta was a local government area about 340 kilometres northeast of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The shire covered an area of 4,090.72 square kilometres, and existed from 1869 until 1994.

Wymah Ferry

The Wymah Ferry is a cable ferry across the upper reach of Lake Hume, on the Murray River and on the border between the Australian states of New South Wales and Victoria. The ferry crosses from the community of Wymah on the New South Wales side of the river, to Granya, and is approximately 35 kilometres east of Albury. The ferry is controlled by the New South Wales Roads and Maritime Services, but is jointly funded by both states. It operates seven days a week, and is free of tolls.
