Waratah Bay, Victoria

Waratah Bay is a town in the South Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia, on the shore of Waratah Bay. The town is named after the bay which was named after a ship the Waratah which anchored here for repairs when damaged. A Post Office named Waratah Bay opened on 10 August 1885, but was at nearby Walkerville and was renamed as such in 1892.

Walkerville, Victoria

Walkerville Victoria, Australia, is a tiny fishing village on Waratah Bay in southwest Gippsland, about 190 km southeast of Melbourne. The small town, originally known as Waratah, is separated into North Walkerville and South Walkerville. At the 2006 census, Walkerville had a population of 262.

Cape Liptrap

Cape Liptrap coastal park is located in south Gippsland, Victoria and is a peninsula that is the extension of the Hoddle Range that runs out to sea. It was sighted by Lieutenant James Grant on 9 December 1800 from the survey brig HMS Lady Nelson and named after John Liptrap. Cape Liptrap sits high above the Bass Strait with steep cliffs of folded marine sediments flanked by rock pinnacles and wave cut platforms.

Whites Creek (Annandale)

Whites Creek was once a natural waterway that, was concreted to improve sanitation. The Whites Creek storm drain as it is now, is located in Annandale, New South Wales, Australia. It flows in a northerly direction into Rozelle Bay which is a bay of Sydney Harbour. Whites Creek wetland is an artificial wetland constructed in 2002, adjacent to the storm drain to improve the quality of the water entering Sydney Harbour and to provide a wildlife habitat.
