Cervantes, Western Australia
Cervantes is a town in Western Australia off Indian Ocean Drive about 198 kilometres north-north-west of the state capital, Perth in the Shire of Dandaragan local government area. At the 2006 census, Cervantes had a population of 467. The town was named after a ship that was wrecked nearby. The ship, in turn, was named after Miguel de Cervantes, author of Don Quixote. The principal industry in the town is fishing.

Nambung River
The Nambung River is a river in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, 170 kilometres north of Perth. The river drains an area between the towns of Cervantes and Badgingarra. In its lower reaches the Nambung River forms a chain of waterholes in the Nambung Wetlands where it disappears underground into a limestone karst system 5.5 kilometres from the Indian Ocean.

Nambung National Park
Nambung National Park is a national park in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, 162 km northwest of Perth. It contains the Pinnacles Desert. Nambung is an Indigenous Australian word meaning crooked or winding referring to the Nambung River that drains into the area. The park is bordered to the north by Southern Beekeepers Nature Reserve and to the south by Wanagarren Nature Reserve. A large area of vacant Crown Land is found along much of the eastern edge.
