City of South Perth

The City of South Perth is a local government area in the inner southern suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth, located about 4 kilometres south of Perth's central business district. The City covers an area of 19.9 square kilometres, maintains 203 kilometres of roads and a little over 4.3 km² of parks and gardens, and has a population of about 38,500 (2006). The area broadly forms a peninsula, being bounded on three sides by the waters of the Swan and Canning rivers.

Wesley College (Western Australia)

Wesley College, informally known as Wesley, is an independent, day and boarding school for boys and girls (Co-ed to Year 4 and boys only Years 5–12), situated in South Perth, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The college is a Uniting Church school, which traces its origins back to 1923 when it was established by members of the Methodist Church which was founded by John Wesley.

Perth Zoo

The Perth Zoo is a 41-acre zoo that opened in 1898 in South Perth, Western Australia. As of January 2011, it is home to 1258 animals of 164 species and includes an extensive botanical collection. In 2010/11, the zoo had a paid staff of about 248 (167 full-time equivalents), plus about 300 volunteer docents. It is a full institutional member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).

Kensington, Western Australia

Kensington is an inner southern suburb of Perth. While mostly within the City of South Perth local government area, a small section is within the Town of Victoria Park. Kensington was named after the former Kensington Park Racecourse, which was most likely named after the London suburb. The suburb is bounded by Canning Highway to the west, Berwick Street to the north, Kent Street to the east and Hayman Road and South Terrace to the south.
