The City of Nedlands is a local government area in the inner western suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth, about 7 kilometres west of Perth's central business district. The City covers an area of 20.0 square kilometres, maintains 137 km of roads and a little over 380 hectares of parks and gardens, and has a population of over 22,000 (2008).

Showgrounds railway station, Perth

Showgrounds Station is a Transperth railway station 8.6 km from Perth railway station, in Western Australia, on the Fremantle Line. It is adjacent to the Claremont Showgrounds, and is used only during special events, such as the Perth Royal Show.

Loch Street railway station

Loch Street Railway Station is a Transperth railway station 8 km from Perth railway station, in Western Australia, on the Fremantle Line. Loch Street since 2002 has had its regular services limited due to low passenger numbers, distance from Karrakatta station and, prior to May 2009, the length of its platforms. The length of the platform wasn't long enough to accommodate four car train sets, resulting in certain trains skipping the station.

Dalkeith, Western Australia

Dalkeith is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia in the City of Nedlands. The suburb is surrounded on three sides by the Swan River and is home to some of Perth's finest mansions. The suburb takes its name from a cottage built in 1833 by Captain Adam Armstrong and his sons, early settlers of the area that arrived aboard the ship the Gilmore. Armstrong, previously being the manager of the Earl of Dalkeith's estate in Scotland, named the cottage ‘Dalkeith Cottage’.

Claremont Showgrounds

The Claremont Showgrounds are home to the annual Perth Royal Show. In 1902, 32 acres of land were reserved in the Perth suburb of Claremont for new showgrounds to replace the Guildford Showgrounds. The Royal Agricultural Show, of three days, was first held there in October and November, 1905.
