Narrung is a settlement in South Australia. It is situated at the northern extent of the Narrung Peninsula, which separates The Coorong from Lake Albert adjacent to The Narrows which separates Lake Albert from the larger Lake Alexandrina. At the 2006 census, Narrung and the surrounding area had a population of 276.

Lake Albert (South Australia)

Lake Albert is a notionally fresh water lake near the mouth of the Murray River. It is filled by water flowing in from Lake Alexandrina at its mouth near Narrung. It is separated on the south by the Narrung Peninsula from the salt-water Coorong. The only major town on the lake is Meningie. The lake was named after Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, the Consort of Queen Victoria.

Pomanda Island

Pomanda Island is a low-lying 34 Ha (84 acre) island within Lake Alexandrina, located 87 km southeast of Adelaide and 12 km south of Wellington, South Australia. Pomanda Island is the site of a weir proposed by the South Australian Government in 2009. The 2.6 km temporary weir would protect River Murray water supplies, should it become necessary to let seawater into Lake Alexandrina.

Milang, South Australia

Milang is small town situated on the shores of Lake Alexandrina, just over 20 km from Strathalbyn, South Australia. At the 2006 census, Milang had a population of 512. The town was surveyed in December 1853. Milang was a significant port on the Murray River System between 1860 and 1880, before the railway line was built to connect Adelaide to Morgan further upstream. Milang Football Club currently compete in the Hills Football League C Grade competition.
