Mount Palmer, Western Australia
Mount Palmer was a town in the Yilgarn shire in Western Australia. It was founded in 1934 after the discovery of gold in the area. The Mount Palmer Gold Mine operated from 1934 to 1944, when it closed due to labour shortages cause by World War II. The town's existence was entirely dependent on the mine such that when the mine closed, the town was abandoned soon after.

Marvel Loch, Western Australia
Marvel Loch is a small townsite of less than 100 people, some 401 km east of Perth, Western Australia. It is located 32 km south west of Southern Cross, along the Perth to Kalgoorlie Great Eastern Highway. The town is located in the Shire of Yilgarn. Gold was discovered in the area in 1906 following gold mining leases being issued to Markham, Doolette, Leneberg and Le Breton who named their lease Marvel Loch. The town is named after the horse that won the Caulfield Cup in 1905.
