Paznaun

The Paznaun is a valley in Tyrol, Austria leading south-west from Pians (850 m) to the Bielerhöhe (2036 m), a mountain pass at the border of Vorarlberg and Tyrol. The Paznaun is watered by the Trisanna and surrounded by the Central Eastern Alps, specifically, the mountain ranges of Verwall in the north, Samnaun in the south-east and Silvretta in the south-west. The main villages in the Paznaun are See (1050m), Kappl (1226m), Ischgl (1377m) and Galtür (1586m).

Lake Vallülasee

The Vallülasee lies pretty secluded in impassable region north of Mount Vallüla in southern Montafon. It can only be reached on foot because of his high location. A march to the lake lasts about 5 hours. The mountain lake possesses clear, chilly drinking water. The Vallülabach feeds and drains the lake and merges with the Ill (Austria). Fishes such as trouts and carps can be found in the water.

St. Anton am Arlberg is a railway station on the Arlberg railway between Innsbruck and Bludenz in Tyrol, Austria. It is located directly between the 10.648 km long Arlbergtunnel and the Wolfsgrubentunnel.

Silvretta Alps

The Silvretta Alps are a mountain range of the Central Eastern Alps shared by Tirol, Vorarlberg and Graubünden. The Austrian states of Tirol and Vorarlberg are connected by a pass road (Silvretta Hochalpenstraße at 2032 m). The majority of the peaks are elevated above three thousand metres and are surrounded by glaciers. Thus, the area is also known as the "Blue Silvretta".

Ill (Austria)

The Ill is a 72 km long tributary of the Rhine river in the western Austrian province of Vorarlberg. It flows from the northern slopes of the Silvretta mountain range and then runs north-west through Vorarlberg. The Ill passes through the Montafon and Walgau valleys and the town Feldkirch. It joins the river Rhine a few kilometers northwest of Feldkirch ("Illspitz"), at the border with Switzerland. The Ill has several dams with hydroelectric power stations.
