Florianerbahn

|} The Florianerbahn is a museum tramway in Upper Austria that is not currently operational due to construction work. It was originally built as a railway - a licensed narrow gauge Lokalbahn or branch line - between the formerly independent commununity of Ebelsberg (today district within Linz) and Sankt Florian. It was owned by the Lokalbahn Ebelsberg–St. Florian AG, but operated by the firm of Stern & Hafferl from Gmunden.

SolarCity Linz

The solarCity is an energy-saving living district in Linz-Pichling, Austria, which provides living space for about 4,000 people. The houses were built using a low-energy design. The idea and motivation for providing energy efficient living arrangements stems from the fact that fossil fuels contribute to global warming and that their use should therefore be avoided. Planning of the project began in 1992. Since 1999, 1,300 apartments were gradually built during a 6 year period.

Krems (Upper Austria)

The Krems is an approximately 60 kilometer long tributary of the Traun in Upper Austria. It originates at the foot of the mountain "Kremsmauer" in Micheldorf, runs northwards in the Traunviertel through the Upper-Austrian Alpine foothills, and flows into the Traun in Ebelsberg, a district of Linz.

Voestalpine

Voestalpine AG is an international steel company based in Linz, Austria. The company is active in steel, automotive, railway systems, profilform and tool steel industries. 47 per cent of its workforce is based in Austria. The Linz hot strip mill is a "fully integrated steel works" operated by voestalpine Stahl GmbH, a part of the steel division of voestalpine AG. In addition to Linz the most important plants are in Leoben in Styria and in Krems in Lower Austria.

Battle of Ebelsberg

The Battle of Ebelsberg, known in French accounts as the Battle of Ebersberg, was fought on 3 May 1809 during the War of the Fifth Coalition, part of the Napoleonic Wars. The Austrian left wing under the command of Johann von Hiller took up positions at Ebersberg on the Traun river. The French under André Masséna attacked, crossing a heavily defended 550-meter-long bridge and subsequently conquering the local castle, thus forcing Hiller to withdraw.
