Maghbazar

Maghbazar is the name of a neighborhood in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is located near the neighborhoods of Tejgaon, Ramna and Malibagh. Its origins date back to the Mughal Empire. The word Mogh refers to people from Arakan Burma and Bazar means market. Historically, a group of Mogh people settled in the area during Mughal time. At that time it was well outside Dhaka town and marshy land. Water body east and north of Moghbazar is known as Hatirjheel mean elephant's lake.

Meghna Bridge

Meghna Bridge is a road bridge in Bangladesh. It was built by assistance of Japan and officially named Japan Bangladesh Friendship Bridge 1, but it is popularly known as Meghna Bridge. According to a study conducted in 2004 by the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, residents living around the Meghna Bridge recognized several positive impacts after the construction of the bridge.

Gazaria Upazila

Gazaria is one of the Six Upazila of Munshiganj District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is 28 kilometer away from the Capital Dhaka and bounded by Sonargaon and Homna upazilas on the north, Matlab upazila on the south, Daudkandi upazila on the east, Munshiganj sadar upazila and Sonargaon upazilas and the Meghna river on the west. The entire upazila is surrounded by the river Meghna practically making it a Delta.

Taj Mahal Bangladesh

Taj Mahal Bangladesh is a copy of the original Taj Mahal located 10 miles east of the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka in Sonargaon. Unlike the original, work on the building took only five years. Ahsanullah Moni, a wealthy Bangladeshi film-maker, announced his 'Copycat version of Taj Mahal' project in December 2008. The project cost about USD$ 56 Million, and was built 20 miles northeast of Capital Dhaka.
