Cox's Bazar is a town, a fishing port and district headquarters in Bangladesh. It is known for its wide and long sandy beach which is considered by many as the world's longest natural sandy sea beach, The beach in Cox' Bazar is an unbroken 125 km sandy sea beach with a gentle slope. Cox's Bazar (Bengali: কক্সবাজার জেলা, Cox's Bazar Jela also Cox's Bazar Zila) is a district in the Chittagong Division of Bangladesh. It is named after Cox's Bazar, which is one of the world's longest natural sea beaches (120 kilometres including mud flats). It is located 150 kilometres south of Chittagong. Cox's Bazar is also known by the name Panowa ("yellow flower"). Another old name was Palongkee.

Adinath Temple

Adinath Temple, located on the summit of the Mainak Hill on Maheshkhali Island off the coast of Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, is dedicated to the Hindu God, Shiva, who is worshipped as Adinath. The temple is famous for the annual fair held at the foot of the Mainak Hill in the month of Phalgun as per the Bengali calendar.
