Rupelmonde

Rupelmonde is a town in the municipality of Kruibeke, in the Belgian province of East Flanders. It stands on the bank of the river Schelde opposite the confluence of the eponymous Rupel, and is famed for its sundials as well as having what is probably Belgium's only tidemill. It is the birthplace of Gerardus Mercator, a famous Flemish cartographer, who was imprisoned for several years in the castle there, a remnant of which today serves as a museum.

Wissekerke Castle

The Wissekerke Castle is situated in the village of Bazel of Kruibeke municipality in the East Flanders province of Belgium. Although a castle stood at this site since 10th century, the present castle was largely built in the 15th century with lake, park and a suspension bridge.

Bazel

Bazel is a village in Belgium, in the municipality of Kruibeke. Population (2003): 4,967. The village has one of the oldest suspension bridges in Belgium, built in 1824. The Wissekerke Castle is located in this village.

St. Bernard's Abbey, Hemiksem

St. Bernard's Abbey, Hemiksem, also known as St. Bernard's Abbey on the Scheldt (Sint-Bernardusabdij van Hemiksem; Abdij Sint-Bernaerdts aan de Schelde), located in Hemiksem in the province of Antwerp in Belgium, was a Cistercian monastery founded in 1243 and dissolved during the French Revolution. The buildings are now the property of the municipality of Hemiksem.

Hingene Castle

Hingene Castle (Dutch: Kasteel van Hingene, also known as the Kasteel d'Ursel) is a stately home in Hingene in the municipality of Bornem, province of Antwerp, Belgium. The estate was the summer residence of the House of Ursel. The Dukes of Ursel and their family resided for 350 years on the estate. Its original view can be seen in the Flandria Illustrata. A famous resident was Conrard-Albert, first Duke of Ursel (1665-1738).
