Etymology The name Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Waver (pronounced on-zeh Lee-vuh vrao wuh-vhr) derives from the flemish Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Waver, which means 'Our dear shivering Lady'. There is, however, an ongoing discussion amongst scholars.
