The Campus Blairon is a business incubator, education site, local government site, medical post and a seminar centre located in Turnhout in the campine region of the Antwerp province. The Battle of Turnhout (October 27, 1789) was a battle which took place at Turnhout between the Archduchy of Austria and Belgian revolutionaries which led to the Brabant Revolution and led to a brief period independence for Belgium, known at the time as the Southern Netherlands.

Castelré

Castelré is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is a part of the municipality of Baarle-Nassau, and lies some 20 km south of Breda. The population of the Castelré statistical district – which includes the surrounding countryside and is officially characterized as an area of "scattered houses" – is around 140. In 2000 a millennium chapel was built at the "Kempische-driehoek" 't Groesje.

Gierle

Gierle is a village of about 4,200 inhabitants in the province of Antwerp in Flanders, Belgium. It is part of the municipality of Lille. Characterised by its 19th-century village center,which has an unusual circular shape, it is more known for its recreation park called "De Lilse Bergen" and its festival called "Sjock". A famous inhabitant of Gierle was Louis Neefs, who was the Belgian contestant for the Eurovision Song Contest twice.
