Eddy Merckx metro station

Eddy Merckx is a Metro station on the western branch of Line 5 of the Brussels Metro. It is named after Belgian cyclist Eddy Merckx, five time winner of the Tour de France. The station opened on September 15, 2003 as part of an extension between Bizet and Erasme/Erasmus stations. It is decorated with objects commemorating Merckx, including, displayed in a glass cabinet on the station platform, the bicycle on which he set the hour record in 1972.

Erasmus metro station

Erasme or Erasmus metro station is the western terminus of line 5 on the Brussels Metro. It is located in the Brussels municipality of Anderlecht. Erasmus opened on 15 September 2003 as part of the extension to line 1B including the stations La Roue/Het Rad, CERIA/COOVI and Eddy Merckx. In April 2009, this part of line 1B became part of line 5. The station lies at grade and has a single island platform which can be reached through tunnels under the tracks.

CERIA/COOVI metro station

CERIA/COOVI is a station on the Brussels metro, served by the western branch of line 5. It opened on 15 September 2003 as part of the extension including the stations Erasmus, Eddy Merckx and La Roue. The station is located underground in the municipality of Anderlecht and serves the Centrum voor Onderricht en Opzoekingen der Voedings- en chemische Industrie (COOVI) / Centre d'Enseignement et de Recherches des Industries Alimentaires et Chimiques (CERIA)

La Roue/Het Rad metro station

La Roue metro station is a station on the Brussels metro, served by the western branch of line 5. It opened on 16 September 2003 as part of the extension to line 1B between and Bizet and Erasmus. Since the reorganisation of the Brussels Metro in April 2009, the station has served line 5. The station is located underground in the municipality of Anderlecht.

La Roue (Brussels)

La Roue or Het Rad (which means the wheel in French and Dutch respectively) is a district of Anderlecht, Brussels. Built in the 1920s, it is one of the most green and architecturally distinct parts of this municipality.
