Dender

The Dendre or Dender is a 65 km long river in Belgium, right tributary of the river Scheldt. The confluence of both rivers is in the Belgian town Dendermonde. The Western or Little Dender springs near Leuze-en-Hainaut at an altitude of about 60 to 70 meters above sea level. The source of the Eastern Dender is near Jurbise at a height of 100 meters above sea level. The two rivers meet in the town of Ath.

Grembergen

Grembergen is a town in the municipality of Dendermonde in the Denderstreek in the province of East Flanders in Belgium. It is often confused with the municipality of Grimbergen in the province of Flemish Brabant. The Belgian symbolist painter Fernand Khnopff was born in the Castle of Grembergen (called Hof ter Geesten, the property of his maternal grandparents) in 1858.

SC Eendracht Aalst

SC Eendracht Aalst is a Belgian football club based in Aalst, East Flanders. It changed its name in 2002 after former Belgian First Division club K.S.C. Eendracht Aalst had gone into liquidation. So they could not get the license and the new team began at the third division level. They played the next two seasons in second division (2003–2005) and are now back to the third division and they are at the 3rd place.

Schepenhuis, Aalst

The Schepenhuis (Aldermen's House) of Aalst, Belgium, is a former city hall, one of the oldest in the Low Countries. Dating originally from 1225, it was partially rebuilt twice as a result of fire damage, first after a 1380 war and again after a fireworks accident in 1879. The belfry tower at one corner of the building was completed in 1460, and in the next year was equipped with a carillon built by master craftsmen from Mechelen.
