Cortewalle Castle
Cortewalle Castle is a moated castle in Beveren in East Flanders, Belgium. The castle dates back to the 15th century, and is one of the oldest in the Waasland. It is built of white sandstone, in Flemish Renaissance style. For centuries it was in the possession successively of the Triest, Goubau and de Brouchoven de Bergeyck families, until the Brouchovens sold it to the municipality of Beveren, who use it for the storage of the extensive and important De Bergeyck archives.

It is currently used mostly for football matches, and is the home ground of Waasland-Beveren. The stadium's name (Freethiel) is a contraction of the name Frederik Thielemans, the man who owned a cycling-track in the Klapperstraat, but made it available to the football club when it was established.

The Kennedytunnel is in Antwerp, Belgium. The Kennedytunnel is an important road, rail and bicycle tunnel to the south of Antwerp under the Scheldt. The road tunnel forms a part of Highway R1, the not yet completed inner ring motorway surrounding the city. Opened to road traffic on 31 May 1969, and to rail traffic on 1 February 1970, the tunnel was named after John F. Kennedy, the thirty-fifth President of the United States. The railway tunnel was opened in 1970.
