Braine Castle

Braine Castle (French: Château de Braine) is a castle in Braine-le-Château, Walloon Brabant, Belgium. In 649 the Abbess of Mons St. Waudru ceded her "land of Ittre", including Braine, to the Chapter of Mons. Accordingly, Braine had an odd political status since it remained a small enclave of the County of Hainaut within the County of Leuven, part of the Duchy of Brabant. Braine-le-Château was owned by several feudal families.

Clabecq

Clabecq is part of the Walloon municipality of Tubize, located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. It was formerly its own municipality until the period of fusion of Belgian municipalities in 1977. It is traversed by the Brussels-Charleroi Canal, and the steelmaking Forges of Clabecq are situated on its banks. Its postal code is 1480, formerly 1361.

Stade Leburton

Stade Leburton is a multi-use stadium in Tubize, Belgium. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of A.F.C. Tubize. The stadium holds 8,100 spectators.

Brussels–Charleroi Canal

The Brussels–Charleroi Canal, also known as the Charleroi Canal amongst other similar names, is an important canal in Belgium. The canal is quite large, with a Class IV Freycinet gauge, and its Wallonian portion is 47.9 kilometres long. It runs from Charleroi in the south to Brussels in the north.

Ronquières

Ronquières is a village in the municipality of Braine-le-Comte in the Belgian province of Hainaut in the Walloon region. It is best known as the location of the Ronquières inclined plane on the Brussels-Charleroi Canal. The lower end of the inclined plane is just a few hundred metres from the centre of the village. The population of the village was 1370 as of January 2006.
