Ham-sur-Heure Castle
Ham-sur-Heure Castle is a castle in Ham-sur-Heure, a village in the municipality of Ham-sur-Heure-Nalinnes, province of Hainaut, Belgium. From 1491 to 1941 it belonged to the de Mérode family, and from 1941 to 1952 to the d'Oultremonts. They sold it to the municipal authorities of Ham-sur-Heure, who used it as their town hall. After the local government reorganisation of 1977 it became the town hall of the present municipality of Ham-sur-Heure-Nalinnes. \t\t \t\t\tHam-sur-Heure 050525 (4).

Castle of Tarcienne
Castle of Tarcienne is a castle on a slight hilltop in the western portion of the village of Tarcienne, in the Namur Province of Belgium. The castle is located at 5651 Tarcienne (Walcourt). It was initially constructed (1674) for Charles-Ignace de Colins. Its style was Louis XIV. At present the castle is occupied by Eric Rosens, who is working to restore it to its previous state. It is not presently open to the public.

The Castle of Thy-le-Chateau is a medieval castle located in Namur, Belgium. Originally built in the 12th century, it served as the military fortress for several noble clans until the French Revolution, when it fell into disrepair. The castle was successfully restored in 1939.

Battle of Thimeon
The Battle of Thimeon was a German victory over the Vikings near Thimeon north of the Sambre in February 880. In 879, Vikings from England settled on the river Scheldt. After celebrating Christmas at Frankfurt am Main that year and signing the Treaty of Ribemont with Louis III and Carloman II of West Francia, Louis the Younger marched an army northward on the Viking settlement.
