Kessel-Lo (population 26,000) is a town in Belgium. It is a borough of Leuven North of Leuven proper. Kessel-Lo is bordered by Holsbeek, Lubbeek, and several other municipalities that are part of Leuven (including Leuven proper, Heverlee, and Wijgmaal). Father Raskin or Jozef Raskin was a Belgian Scheutist. He was a missionary in China, chaplain of the Belgian Army and propagandist for his congregation. During the Second World War he was decapitated by the Germans.

Baal, Belgium

Baal is a village in the municipality of Tremelo, in the province of Flemish Brabant, Belgium. It is notable as the home of successful cyclo-cross competitor Sven Nys. He is sometimes called by the nickname "the Kannibaal van Baal" (Dutch for "Cannibal of Baal"). The Grand Prix Sven Nys cyclo-cross race, named after Nys, is held annually in Baal. Fellow cyclo-cross competitor Niels Albert also lives in Baal.
