Bird Island, Belize

Bird Island is an island located in the country of Belize. Located near Tobacco Caye, Belize, this island is home to frigatebirds and brown footed boobies. This island is protected, and tourists are not allowed to dock and set foot on the island premises. In 2001, a hurricane totaled the mangrove forest situated on this island, yet birds continued to roost here. The mangrove forest regrew to full capacity, and the pre-existing ecosystem has once again been restored.

Hattieville

Hattieville, sometimes also known as Hattieville Village, is a town in the Belize District of the nation of Belize. It is located at 17N 88W, at an elevation of 196 feet (59 meters) above mean sea level, and has a population of about 1,300 people. Hattieville was established as a refugee camp after Hurricane Hattie made many people homeless in Belize City when it hit in 1961, but it became a permanent town.

St. John's Cathedral (Belize City)

St. John's Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral in the city of Belize City, Belize. The cathedral was the first church to be built in the colony of British Honduras. It was constructed in 1812, although it has numerous alterations dating to more recent renovations. The exterior of the church is of brick; the interior is fitted out in mahogany and sapodilla. It is a historical landmark of Belize from the colonial influence of the country's past.
