It is used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of Associação Atlética Anapolina, Anápolis Futebol Clube, Grêmio Esportivo Anápolis and Grêmio Esportivo Inhumense. The stadium has a maximum capacity of 20,000 people and was built in 1965. It is named after Jonas Ferreira Alves Duarte, who was the mayor of Anápolis in the 1950s, and was Goiás state vice-governor in 1954 and in 1955.
