Jacuí River
The Jacuí River is a river in Rio Grande do Sul state of southern Brazil. The Jacuí empties into the Guaíba River, an estuarine arm of the Lagoa dos Patos, a large coastal lagoon connected to the Atlantic Ocean. The Jacuí River, known as 'Rio Jacuí' in Portuguese, has its origins in the highlands east of Passo Fundo. From there it flows south and then east for nearly 300 miles. The Taquari, Caí, Sinos, and Gravataí rivers merge into the Jacuí near its mouth.

The Porto Alegre Public Market, in downtown Porto Alegre, Brazil, is the City's oldest public market. It also is an important Historic Landmark and a well known meeting point, with many coffee shops and restaurants. The cornerstone was laid on August 29, 1864, building over an earlier and smaller market. Frederico Heydtmann designed the building, but his plan was substantially altered and enlarged. The inauguration took place on October 3, 1869.

Estádio José Pinheiro Borda, better known as Estádio Beira-Rio (Riverside Stadium) due to its location beside the Guaíba River, is a football stadium in Porto Alegre, Brazil. It serves as the home stadium for Sport Club Internacional. It is named after José Pinheiro Borda, an elderly Portuguese engineer who supervised the building of the stadium but died before seeing its completion. Estádio Beira-Rio replaced Internacional's previous stadium, the Estádio dos Eucaliptos.
