Imbé

"Imbe" redirects here. For the African fruit tree, see Garcinia livingstonei. Imbé is a small city on the coastline of Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state of Brazil, 120 km (75 statute miles) east of Porto Alegre. Its population is approximately 14 thousand. It has warm summers (average temperature 22 °C in January) and cool winters (14 °C in July). Imbé separated from its neighbouring city, Tramandaí, in 1988. In that same year, many small municipalities were created in Rio Grande do Sul.

Osório

Osório is a coastal municipality and a city in the state of Rio Grande Do Sul, Brazil. Its population is about 40,000 inhabitants. Osório is located 90 km east of the state capital, Porto Alegre. The municipality was created in 1857 by fission from Santo Antonio da Patrulha and named Conceição do Arroio. It was renamed in 1934 by decree to honor Manuel Luís Osório, 19th century military commander and politician who was born there.
