Koh Sotin District
Koh Sotin District is a district located in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. The district capital is Chi Haer town located around 10 kilometres south of the provincial capital of Kampong Cham by water, but some 42 kilometres by road. The district borders on the southern bank of the Mekong River and includes the islands of Koh Sothin and Koh Mitt in its area. The district is easily accessed by boat from Kampong Cham.

Kampong Cham (city)
Kampong Cham is the capital city of the Kampong Cham Province in eastern Cambodia. It is the third largest city in Cambodia with a population of 63,771 people (2006) and is located on the Mekong River. Kampong Cham is 124 kilometers northeast from Phnom Penh and can be reached by either boat or by asphalt road. It takes about 2.5 hours by vehicle or 2.5 hours by boat from Phnom Penh to the city of Kampong Cham. Its geographic location is 12.00°N, 105.46°E.

Kizuna bridge
The Kizuna bridge is a bridge on the Mekong in the town of Kampong Cham and in the district of Kampong Cham. It was opened in 2001 and was the first bridge to be built over the Mekong river in Cambodia. Construction of the bridge was funded by a $56 million grant from the Japanese government. At 1500 metres in length it was the longest bridge in Cambodia until the 1900 metre Thai-Cambodian bridge was built in Koh Kong in 2002.

The administrative center of the district locates not far from the Provincial capital of Kampong Cham in Ampil Leu Village, Ampil Commune about 3 km west from the center of Kampong Cham city on National Highway 7 and is 120 kilometres by road from Phnom Penh. The district borders on the western bank of the Mekong for most of its length.
