Stueng Trang district is a district located in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. The district capital is Stung Trang town located around 30 kilometres directly north of the provincial capital of Kampong Cham by road. Stueng Trang is a large border district in the north of the province located on the Mekong River. The district lies on the border between Kampong Cham and Kampong Thom and Kratie provinces. It is the third largest city in Cambodia with a population of 63,771 people (2006) and is located on the Mekong River. It takes about 2.5 hours by vehicle or 2.5 hours by boat from Phnom Penh to the city of Kampong Cham. Its geographic location is 12.00°N, 105.46°E.
