Tbuong Kmoum District

Tbuong Kmoum District is a district located in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. The district capital is Tboung Khmom town located around 20 kilometres east of the provincial capital of Kampong Cham by road. Tboung Khmom is a central district of Kampong Cham. The district shares no borders with other provinces and is home to the huge Chup Rubber plantation. The plantation covers much of the land area of the district and contributes a large proportion to the district and provincial economy.

Democratic Kampuchea

Democratic Kampuchea, was the name of the Khmer Rouge-controlled state that, between 1975 and 1979, ruled the Southeast Asian country of Cambodia. It was founded when the Khmer Rouge forces defeated the Khmer Republic of Lon Nol. After losing control of most of Cambodian territory to Vietnamese occupation, it survived as a rump state supported by the West and China.

Krouch Chhmar District is a district located in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. The district capital is Krouch Chhmar town located around 35 kilometres north east of the provincial capital of Kampong Cham by water. The Mekong River forms western and northern borders of the districts and includes the Mekong island of Koh Pir in its area. Not surprisingly, communities in this isolated district are mostly clustered along the banks of the river and boats are an important form of transport.

Dambae District

Dambae District is a district of Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. The district capital is Dambae town. This small town is located just off National Road 73 about 11 kilometres from National Highway 7. Dambae is around 45 kilometres west of the provincial capital at Kampong Cham city and 47 kilometres south of Kratie, the capital of Kratie Province. Dambae district is home to the Haung resort and waterfall, a popular picnic and holiday spot.
