Kaleden, British Columbia

Kaleden is a small historic ghost town and modern rural satellite community located south of Penticton in the Okanagan Valley in the province of British Columbia, Canada. Kaleden has a population of approximately 1,200 and is located about 10 miles or 5 minutes south of Penticton along Skaha Lakein the South Okanagan. The community was established by James Ritchie in the early 1900s for growing fruit. The famous "Kaleden Cots" got their beginning here.

Skaha Lake

Skaha Lake, historically known as Dog Lake and originally Lac Du Chien, is a freshwater lake located along the course of the Okanagan River in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. It has a surface area of approximately 20 km², with a maximum depth of 55 metres. The lake is situated directly south of Okanagan Lake and forms the southern shoreline and boundary of the city of Penticton, British Columbia.

Christie Memorial Provincial Park

Christie Memorial Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada, located in the town of Okanagan Falls at the south end of Skaha Lake. The park was established in 5 October 1965, in remembrance of RCAF Pilot Officer Robert G. Christie, DFM. Christie was serving as a Navigator with No. 97 Squadron RAF when he was killed in action 23 September 1943. As the only serviceman from Okanagan Falls killed in action during World War II, this Provincial Park was named after him.

Penticton Regional Airport

Penticton Regional Airport, also known as Penticton Airport, is a regional airport located 1.8 nautical miles southwest of Penticton, British Columbia, a city in the Okanagan region of Canada. It is owned and operated by Transport Canada, serving the South Okanagan, Similkameen and West Kootenay areas. Initial examination for the airport's construction began in 1937. The proposed locations were owned by the Penticton Indian Band at that time, but expropriated in 1949.
