Salmo, British Columbia

Salmo is a village in the West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia, Canada. It is located in the Salmo River Valley, surrounded by the Selkirk Mountain range. Situated at the junction of the Crowsnest Highway and Highway 6, Salmo is about a 30 minute drive from the communities of Castlegar, Nelson, and Trail.

Ymir (electoral district)

Ymir was the name of a provincial electoral district in the Canadian province of British Columbia located in the West Kootenay region. It is named after Ymir, a village east of Trail, B.C. and south of Nelson, B.C.. It made its first appearance on the hustings in the election of 1903 and lasted only until 1912, after which the area was represented by Nelson riding. Nelway, British Columbia

Nelway is a geographical location in British Columbia on the international border with the State of Washington. It is the location of the easternmost highway border crossing between Washington and British Columbia, where Washington State Route 31 from Metaline Falls connects to British Columbia Highway 6 from Salmo.

Crawford State Park (Washington)

Crawford State Park is located near the Canadian border in Pend Oreille County, Washington. It contains Gardner Cave, which is over 1,055 feet feet in length and has stalactites and stalagmites. It is the third longest natural limestone cave in the state. There are daily tours of the cave during the summer months.
