Green Point, Newfoundland and Labrador
Green Point is located 12 km north of the town of Rocky Harbour in Gros Morne National Park, on the west coast of Newfoundland. It is the home to a small summer fishing community and a drive-in campground. In 2000, Green Point was designated the Global Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) representing the division between the Cambrian and the Ordovician systems.

Tremadocian
The Tremadocian is the lowest stage of Ordovician. Together with the later Floian stage it forms the Lower Ordovician epoch. The Tremadocian lasted from 485.4 ± 1.9 to 477.7 ± 1.4 million years ago. The base of the Tremadocian is defined as the first appearance of the conodont species Iapetognathus fluctivagus at the GSSP section in Newfoundland.

Western Brook Pond
The Western Brook Pond is a Canadian fjord or lake located in Gros Morne National Park on the west coast of the island of Newfoundland. It is in the Long Range Mountains, the most northern section of the Appalachian Mountains. It is surrounded by steep rock walls 600 m high. , having been carved from the surrounding plateau by glaciers. After the glaciers melted, the land rebounded and the fjord was cut off from the sea. Salty water was eventually flushed from the fjord leaving it fresh.

Bakers Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador
Bakers Brook is a Canadian fishing settlement on Bonne Bay in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is located north of Woody Point. It had a population of 6 in 1911. It is located on a stretch of coastline that is bordered by a stony beach and a long shoal bank. In 1901 there was one lobster factory with a total of four seasonal employees. Cod was also caught. By 1911 there were two families that operated two lobster factories.
