Saltery Bay Provincial Park
Saltery Bay Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada, located southeast of the city of Powell River, and on the north side of the entrance to Jervis Inlet in the central area of that province's Sunshine Coast region. Saltery Bay Provincial Park was established in 1962 to provide ocean access on the Sunshine Coast of Georgia Strait. The park has both a campground and a day-use area. The day-use area with its rocky beaches is a popular swimming and picnic site.

Malaspina Strait
Malaspina Strait is a strait in the northern Gulf of Georgia-Sunshine Coast region of British Columbia, Canada. It separates Texada Island from the upper Sunshine Coast-Malaspina Peninsula area on the adjacent mainland. The strait and the peninsula were named in 1859 by Captain George Henry Richards of the Plumper in honor of Alessandro Malaspina, an Italian noble who commanded one of the exploration ships during the Spanish exploration of the British Columbia Coast.

The Sunshine Coast is a region of the southern mainland coast of British Columbia, Canada, on the mainland on the eastern shore of the Strait of Georgia, and just northwest of Greater Vancouver. It includes the coastal areas of the regional district of Sunshine Coast, where the name originated, and more recently the regional district of Powell River up to and including the village of Lund, farther up the coast.

Texada Island
Texada Island is the largest island in the Strait of Georgia of British Columbia, Canada. Its northern tip is located about 8 kilometres southwest of the city of Powell River and west of the Sechelt Peninsula on the Sunshine Coast. A former mining and logging area, the island still has a few quarries and old logging roads. It is the largest of the Northern Gulf Islands at some 50 kilometres in length and 10 kilometres in width, with its length aligned along a northwest-southeast axis.
