South Beach Casino

South Beach Casino & Resort is a casino located just south of Grand Beach, Manitoba on Hwy 59. Situated on the Brokenhead Ojibway First Nation at Scanterbury, it is one of two native-owned casinos in the province. It is owned by seven Manitoba First Nations and is managed by Hemisphere Gaming MB Co. South Beach Casino opened for business in May 2005. In August 2008, South Beach opened a 95-room hotel adjacent to the casino.

Brokenhead Ojibway Nation

Brokenhead Ojibway Nation is an Anishinaabe First Nation located approximately 64 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba. As of May 2010, the First Nation had a registered population of 1,733 people, of which their own on-reserve population was 598. The main reserve of Brokenhead 4 is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of St. Clements, except for a small lakeshore on Lake Winnipeg.

Grand Beach Provincial Park

Grand Beach Provincial Park is a provincial park in Manitoba, Canada. It is located on the east shore of Lake Winnipeg, and has large white sand dunes and ancient beaches from the end of the last ice age. Lake Winnipeg is one of the largest fresh water lakes in the world, and the largest within the borders of southern Canada. The park is approximately an hour and twenty minutes drive from Winnipeg and is bordered to the south by the Rural Municipality of St. Clements.
