Stuartburn is a small, primarily Ukrainian community in southeastern Manitoba, Canada and situated in the Rural Municipality of Stuartburn. Stuartburn is considered to be the first Ukrainian community in Western Canada. It is also a little known fact that the first Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canada was established in Stuartburn in 1896 (Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Canada), one kilometer east of Stuartburn.

Tolstoi, Manitoba

Tolstoi is a hamlet in the Rural Municipality of Franklin, Manitoba, Canada. It is located along Manitoba Highway 59 at its junction with Provincial Road 209, approximately 90 kilometers southeast of Winnipeg and ten kilometers north of the Canada-United States border. Tolstoi was founded by Ukrainian immigrants in the 1890s, one of the earliest Ukrainian settlements in western Canada. Once a thriving community, Tolstoi's population has declined dramatically in recent decades.

Bethesda Hospital (Steinbach, Manitoba)

Bethesda Hospital is one of four hospitals operated by South Eastman Health, the regional health authority. Bethesda is the biggest of these hospitals in the Eastman region of Manitoba. The hospital is located in Steinbach. The hospital was scheduled to undergo an estimated $22 million upgrade to the ER as of 2011, which proceeded by June, 2012. The expansion is underway due to the rapid population growth in the city of Steinbach and area.
