Located on the west bank of the Saint John River, 20 kilometres west of the city of Fredericton and opposite Keswick Ridge, the community includes several cottage areas along the Mactaquac Headpond and a residential subdivision called Island View.

Kings Landing Historical Settlement

King's Landing is a recreation of a New Brunswick town from the period of 1780-1910. It was created around buildings that were saved and moved to make way for the headpond for the Mactaquac Dam. It was primarily settled by Anglo-American Loyalists from the Thirteen Colonies, who were called the United Empire Loyalists in Canada; Scottish, Irish and English immigrants were early settlers as well.

Mactaquac, New Brunswick

Mactaquac is a community in the Canadian province of New Brunswick in York County around the intersection of Route 105 and Route 615. Mactaquac is home to the Mactaquac Dam, a hydro electric dam located on the Saint John River. Mactaquac's main sources of recreation are boating, snowmobiling, horseback riding and other outdoor activities. Mactaquac is also the home of the Mactaquac Provincial Park and Treego Mactaquac.

Mactaquac Provincial Park

Mactaquac Provincial Park is a Canadian provincial park with an area of 5.25 square kilometres . It is located on the Saint John River 15 kilometres west of Fredericton, New Brunswick in the community of Mactaquac. The park was created in the 1960s during the construction of the Mactaquac Dam. The park contains a golf course, campground, two beaches, hiking trails, and cross-country skiing trails in the winter.
