Driftwood Provincial Park
Driftwood Provincial Park is a provincial park on the south shore of the Ottawa River, about 40 km west of Deep River, Ontario. It is administered by Ontario Parks which classifies it as a recreation park. The park is situated on a sheltered bay that was created in 1950 after the construction of the Des Joachims hydro-electric dam 12 km downstream on the Ottawa River. This new bay became a spot where driftwood being carried downstream washes ashore.
