Summerhill, Toronto

The Summerhill neighbourhood in central Toronto was named after 'Summer Hill' house, built in 1842 by Canadian transportation baron Charles Thompson. Much of the area was once part of the Thompson estate but was subdivided by his heirs in the 1880s. In the 1880s, the North Toronto Railway Station was established on Yonge Street and the neighbourhood of Summerhill quickly developed around it. The Railway station was rebuilt in honour of a visit by the Prince of Wales in 1916.

Summerhill (TTC)

Summerhill is a station on the Yonge–University–Spadina line of the subway system in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Its address is 1189 Yonge Street, with the entrance actually being on Shaftesbury Avenue, which is at the north end of the station platforms. The station was opened in 1954 as part of the original Yonge line. Like Rosedale Station, the next station to the south, it is currently among the less used stations, with only average weekday ridership.

Area code 416 is one of the original 86 telephone area codes of North America established in 1947, and currently serves the single rate centre of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It has been split twice: the western portion of 416 became area code 519 in 1953, and in 1993 the remaining portion of 416 outside of what was then Metro Toronto became area code 905. On 5 March 2001, 416 was overlaid with area code 647, Canada's first overlay code.

Summerhill-North Toronto CPR Station

The North Toronto or Summerhill CPR Station is a former Canadian Pacific Railway station in Toronto, Canada, located on the east side of Yonge Street, approximately 250m south of the Summerhill TTC subway station. It is home to a Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) alcoholic beverage store.

Deer Park is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, centred on the intersection of Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue; its boundaries are the Vale of Avoca section of Rosedale ravine in the east, Farnham Avenue and Jackes Avenue in the south, Avenue Road and Oriole Parkway in the west, the Belt Line trail in the north on the west side of Yonge Street, and Glen Elm Avenue in the north on the east side of Yonge Street.
