Sioux Narrows Bridge

The Sioux Narrows Bridge is a bridge on Highway 71 at Sioux Narrows, Ontario, which spans the Sioux Narrows strait between Whitefish Bay and Lake of the Woods. Built in 1936 of Douglas fir timber as an all-wooden truss bridge, it was at 210 feet the longest single-span wooden bridge in North America. The bridge overlooks the site of an 18th century battle in which the local Anishnaabe and Cree nations defeated an invading force of Sioux.

Naotkamegwanning First Nation

Naotkamegwanning First Nation, formerly known as Whitefish Bay First Nation and known in the Ojibwe language as Ne-adikamegwaning (Of the Whitefish Point), is an Ojibwa or Ontario Saulteaux First Nation located in Kenora District, Ontario near Sioux Narrows of Lake of the Woods. Total registered population in September, 2010, was 1177, of which the on-reserve population was 713.

Bull Lake (Black River)

Bull Lake is a lake in Kenora District, Ontario, Canada. It is about 570 metres long and 260 metres wide, and lies at an elevation of 358 metres about 15 kilometres northeast of the community of Sioux Narrows. The primary outflow is an unnamed creek to Mac Lake, whose waters flow via the Black River into Lake of the Woods.

Kakagi Lake

Kakagi Lake, also known as Crow Lake, is a lake just north of Nestor Falls, Ontario, Canada, in the township of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls and right across Highway 71 from Stevens Bay on Lake of the Woods. It is also feeds Lake of the Woods through a series of lakes starting with Cedartree Lake.
