The Annex

The Annex is a neighbourhood in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The traditional boundaries of the neighbourhood are north to Dupont Street, south to Bloor Street, west to Bathurst Street and east to Avenue Road. The City of Toronto recognizes a broader neighbourhood definition that includes the adjacent Seaton Village and Yorkville areas.

Gwendolyn MacEwen

Gwendolyn Margaret MacEwen (1 September 1941 – 29 November 1987) was a Canadian poet and novelist. A "sophisticated, wide-ranging and thoughtful writer," she published more than 20 books in her life. "A sense of magic and mystery from her own interests in the Gnostics, Ancient Egypt and magic itself, and from her wonderment at life and death, makes her writing unique.... She's still regarded by most as one of the best Canadian poets."

Spadina (TTC)

Spadina is a station on the Yonge-University-Spadina (YUS) and Bloor-Danforth (BD) lines of the subway system in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The station consists of two separate sections, one for each line, at the same level and 150 metres apart. The north-south platforms, which opened in 1978, were originally planned as a separate station, but the TTC decided to join to the existing 1966 east-west station with a pedestrian tunnel containing a pair of long moving walkways.

Tartu College

Tartu College is an independently owned and maintained student residence on the north side of Bloor Street West, just east of Madison Avenue, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Most of its residents are students of the University of Toronto. Tartu College was built in 1970, two years after its sister building, the David A. Croll Apartments, was built in 1968 across the street.
