Quebec Route 335

Route 335 is a north-south route from Montreal north into the Lanaudière region of Quebec. South of The Metropolitan 335 runs on Rue Saint-Denis to its southern terminus. Northwards until the Rivière des Prairies, 335 runs on Rue Berri south and Rue Lajeunesse north, then it runs over the Pont Viau bridge to Laval. In Laval, 335 once traced the entire length of Boulevard des Laurentides to the Pont David bridge on Rivière des Mille Îles.

Quebec Route 125

Route 125 is a Quebec highway running from Montreal to Saint-Donat, Lanaudière, Quebec in the Lanaudière. The southern section of Route 125 runs parallel to Autoroute 25 in Laval, Mascouche, and Terrebonne. At Saint-Espirit, the Autoroute ends, and 125 continues northwards until the entrance to the Mont Tremblant Provincial Park north of Saint-Donat.

Special Handling Unit

The Special Handling Unit is Canada's highest security prison. It is co-located with the Ste-Anne-des-Plaines Institution (maximum security) and the Regional Reception Centre, at the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) complex at Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, Quebec (a short distance from Mirabel International Airport). As of 2008, there were 90 prisoners at the SHU. It is nicknamed "the SHU" (pronounced 'shoe'). The X shaped facility is surrounded by fencing which is in turn surrounded by farms.

Quebec Autoroute 640

Autoroute 640 (or A-640) is a provincial superhighway that runs across the North Shore Region from Route 344 in the Oka area to Route 138, where it ends as a four-lane expressway in Charlemagne. It was designed as a northern bypass to Montreal and was originally intended to cross the Lake of Two Mountains to connect to Autoroute 40 near Vaudreuil, but that section is unlikely to be constructed. It is currently 54.8 km long.

Rawdon, Ontario

Rawdon was a historic township in Hastings County in east-central Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 1798 and named after Sir Francis Rawdon-Hastings, 1st Marquess of Hastings. In 1858, the village of Stirling was incorporated and so became a separate municipality. In 1997, the village and township were reunited to form the municipality of Stirling-Rawdon, Ontario.
