Ste. Sophie landfill
The Sainte Sophie Landfill', is a landfill in Ste. Sophie, Quebec, near Montreal Canada. It has been operated by Intersan since 1997 and open for 11 years, collects approximately 850,000 metric tonnes (937,000 tons) annually. The bioreactor landfill is located on a 30-acre, double-lined corner of the permitted landfill site. Along with the Lachenaie landfill, these dumps collect garbage for the Greater Montreal Area.

Special Handling Unit
The Special Handling Unit is Canada's highest security prison. It is co-located with the Ste-Anne-des-Plaines Institution (maximum security) and the Regional Reception Centre, at the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) complex at Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, Quebec (a short distance from Mirabel International Airport).
