Chandler, Saskatchewan

Chandler is a ghost town in Cymri Rural Municipality, Saskatchewan, Canada. The site was on the Canadian Northern Railway line from Lampman to Radville. The site only had a train station that served the town of Midale two miles to the north by horse drawn stage coach. The Chandler town site was abandoned by the railway in 1927, with the rail-line abandoned in 1951.

Cymri No. 36, Saskatchewan

Cymri No. 36 is a rural municipality in south-east Saskatchewan, Canada encompassing 832.36 square kilometers in area. The rural municipality maintains offices in the town of Midale, Saskatchewan. The rural municipality in conjunction with the provincial government is in charge of maintenance of highways in its area. As well, the municipality provides policing, fire protection and municipal governance for the rural district, with a reeve as its administrator.

Prairie Pothole Region

The Prairie Pothole Region (PPR) is an area of the northern Great Plains and midgrass and tallgrass prairies that contains thousands of shallow wetlands known as potholes. These potholes are the result of glacier activity in the Wisconsin glaciation, which ended approximately 10,000 years ago. The decaying ice sheet left behind depressions formed by the uneven deposition of till in ground moraines, and melting ice blocks which created kettle lakes.
