Minot Park District

The Minot Park District is the unit of the Minot, North Dakota municipal government responsible for maintaining city parks. The District is managed by a board of five directors elected by city voters to four year terms. The district also serves as the local forestry service, trimming and planting trees across the city. Through its efforts, Minot became a Tree City USA in 1992.

Minot Municipal Auditorium

The Minot Municipal Auditorium is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Downtown Minot, North Dakota. It was built in 1954. It hosts conventions and sporting events, primarily basketball, and competes with the MSU Dome and All Seasons Arena for local events. It was the home of the Minot SkyRockets basketball team. The Director of the Auditorium is Scott Collins. The auditorium is also the location of the municipal court and Minot Park District office.

Minot, North Dakota

Minot is a city located in north central North Dakota in the United States. It is most widely known for the Air Force base located approximately 15 miles north of the city. With a population of 40,888 at the 2010 census, Minot is the fourth largest city in the state. In 2012, the Minot Area Development Corporation estimated that there were between 46,000 and 47,000 permanent residents within city limits.

Minot High School

Minot High School (MHS) is the public high school in Minot, North Dakota, divided between two main campuses: Magic City (grades 11-12) and Central (grades 9-10). The Magic City Campus opened in 1974 in southwest Minot, and the Central Campus occupies the 1918 high school building at 215 1st Street Southeast, just east of downtown. Drawing its students from the city of Minot and Minot Air Force Base, MHS has one of the largest enrollments in the state.

Roosevelt Park (Minot)

Roosevelt Park is a park in Minot, North Dakota operated by the Minot Park District. It is the largest park in the city of Minot. The park is named after Theodore Roosevelt, former president of the United States, who is honoured by a large statue in the middle of the park. Roosevelt Park contains hiking and biking trails, tennis courts, a skate park, a swimming pool and water slide, a band shelter, and picnic shelters. It is also the location of the Magic City Express 2/5 scale passenger train.
